Using digital brushing, burning tools, layers, etc.

This is what I've been doing while playing a week-long waiting game. (I mean, along with knitting, packing, reading, and sleeping.)

Now, I'm pretty patient, but it's summertime and my home town is calling my name... I need to get some feedback soon. I'm good to go.
